Sales Person Wanted
Excel Gear is searching for an experienced Sales Individual to be responsible for extensive telemarketing and intense face to face contact with new and existing customers. This individual is to acquire quotation opportunities for loose – parallel axis – gear market within Excel Gear’s capabilities.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a Manufactured Goods field – Preferably the Gear Industry. Must have superior interpersonal relations and sound communication skills. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and produce call logs and contact lists for the company. This candidate will also update the current customer lists and contact information.
Essential Job functions will include:
1. Identifies new markets and new customers related to Excel Gear’s capabilities and establishes new relationships to solve the customer’s needs.
2. Meets with Excel Gear’s current customers to identify additional opportunities for growth.
3. Develops formal RFQ’s, presents quotations AND CLOSES THE SALE.
4. Provides a weekly detailed work plan and feedback loop back to the President.
5. Extensive phone work and some travel is required.
This position will have a base salary plus travel expenses per company policy.
This is a full-time position could possibly be based remotely. The employment package includes health and dental insurance with a flex account toward the deductible. Eligibility on the first of the month following the date of hire. Voluntary additional insurance packages available. Vacation and holiday pay, and 401K with employee match.

Industrial or Mechanical Engineer Wanted
Excel Gear is looking for an Industrial or Mechanical Engineer to perform quoting, costing, and process engineering for our continued growth.
The ideal candidate would have at least an associate’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and would have 5+ years of experience in the gear manufacturing industry, specifically gear hobbing, shaping, broaching, and gear grinding. They would also be familiar with modern CNC turning, CNC milling as well as ID/OD and surface grinding. The candidate would ideally have CAD/CAM or Solidworks or AUTOCAD 3D modeling experience. JobBoss manufacturing software experience is a definite plus.
The position requires and a self-driven candidate with superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. This candidate should have a strong sense of urgency and good time management skills. Must have an ability to effectively interact with individuals inside and outside the company.
Persons with related Process or Applications Engineering experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. Part time students working toward a degree also encouraged to apply.
